Purses with a Purpose
House of Lazarus (HOL), in partnership with Lisa Williams of Main Street Clothing Company of Winchester, hosted the first Purses with a Purpose event Friday, October 4 at the Joel Steele Community Centre in Winchester. Cityline’s Lynn Spence emceed the event, which included wine tasting with Stone Crop Acres Winery and Vineyard. With high-end purse donations from various businesses throughout the area, the event raised more than $8,500 for HOLs many outreach programs, including Operation Backpack, Heat for the Holidays, Linking Hands Drop-In Centres, and more.
